A timid woman is gradually unnerved by apprehension. Bits of evidence lead her to believe that her charming husband is a killer and that she is the intended victim. Joan Fontaine played a similar role in Rebecca and eventually won a best-actress Oscar for her performance in Suspicion. Cary Grant is excellent, too.
